I've been trying to restrain myself but because of recent events in our country and
comments by other Royal Ranger Commanders I can no longer hold this back:

I'm going to discuss two kinds of Christians views regarding the American Flag patch.
The first view is what I see many Christians having, and that is "when I look at the
American flag I see how the United States USED to be and how it SHOULD be." Then
there is the other Christian view: "When I see the American flag patch I see how the
United states IS and how it WILL be." The latter in my opinion is that of a realist
while the privious is that of an idealist. Let's face the reality according to the
BIBLE, the United States is getting more and more morally corrupt not to mention
anti-Christian (just look at the news and compare it to the last 10 to 20 years) and
is only going to get worse until Jesus returns and when that day comes there will be
no United States of America instead there will be a one world government ruled by
Jesus Christ. So we can either countinue to live in the past and talk about what ifs
for the rest of our lives or we can except the fact that the United States of America
will eventually become part of the Antichrist's one world government.

It is because of this that I am against the MANDATORY wearing of an American flag on
my uniform. I understand that many rangers perfer to stay in their "comfort zone" but
I'm not one of them so why should I have to be forced to wear the American flag. Why
couldn't the national office have made the flag patch OPTIONAL like the Boy Scouts of
America? I look forward to the future, to a world ruled by Christ which is why I
tried to submit a proposed Christian flag patch (which was REJECTED by the way). I
know you guys are probably going to flame me and say I'm a commie or a dirty hippie or
something like that but I'm going by the Word of God here not wishful thinking.
