those "issues within the church today" are the reason our churches are not
growing, and the reason people come in the front door and jet out the back
door--never to be seen again.
we've lost many people due to religious ideas and criticism. we can't
expect people to become "super-saints" the minute they give their lives to
Christ.
I've seen so many people get "burnt" by religion and I myself have been
blinded by ignorance. Religion is a dangerous disease that has plauged the
church since biblical times. I have practically been raised in it, but I
Praise God that he has opened my eyes and helped me to realized that
christianity is NOT about following rules,but about having an awesome
realtionship with the Father himself. God is not a "Rule Book" and "We",
being models of Christ to a lost world, should not tell people how they
should act or dress, for that matter. That's not our "job"--our "job" is to
love as Christ loved, and gently show them scripture and let God reveal to
them what's "right" and "wrong".
