I agree with Damien on this one, Christianity in my opinion is not Religion,
though this is how the secular world will view it. The secular world isn't
able to differentiate between Christianity and Islam or Mormonism and such.
My background and experience in the Protestant churches that I have been in,
have always taught that being a Presbyterian or a Baptist or a Pentecostal is
not a separate "Religion" per se, These such names are just different types of
Christians, just as you would have different brands like you would in a store.
But Christianity or the act of being a Christian in my opinion, is when
someone has decided to have a relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. The
Christianity is merely the behavior of those who Follow Christ. Christianity
is not an "ISM" I have not ever heard of "Christianism" nor does any part of
Christianity end with the suffix "IC" "Christianic?" Doesn't sound right to
me. But I have heard of IslamIC, and MormonISM, which all loose their appeal
in a Christian Relationship. Those are religions, act or code of behavior
that suggests "Pseudo-Saintly" behavior that does not acknowledge the one true
GOD for who HE is. Their acts are just like that of the Sanhedrin in the time
of Christ, Look where that got them! Christianity is a Relationship with the
Lord and is not supposed to go around seeing who can be holier than thou
because none of us are.
Amen for what Easter is all about!
Not that silly Peter Cottontail Stuff.
