YOU FEEL... *Because the Gold-track is confuseing..
Rangers intrest in achieveing it, is falling.
*I walked out in the brief sunshine at noon.. and asked myself what
could be done to clear up the GOLD TRACK to Rangers..
*First.. to me (thin ice)
I would desire more rangers to earn it, *even if by "perception"
we eased the requirements... The fact is: a Ranger going GMA
has only the Trailblazer requirements and the gold-track requirements as
an addition.. and it can be understood...with effort<G>
We for some reason want-desire it to be as hard or harder than the
effort to earn BSA Eagle... *I think that thought is un-neccisary<G>
the GMA should be recognized on it's own!
To that end, I think... Scouts is unfair compition when we compare
GMA to EAGLE... *they have the Webelow Program.."arrow of light"
and at 11 the boy crosses over to Scouts... with One program-one book
all the way to Eagle.
The troop *Josh and I attend is a Eagle Factory<G>
Everyone knows and understands the task's required and in doing so
supports a boy to achieve...
The current Ranger Gold-track is the first generation...
*perhaps our conversation can cause these challenges to be re-thought
and the Gold-Track published in such a way that the options are
thined out...
*I can see the desire currently to embrace every boys achievement with
respect... *standard or GMA track...
*Earning the God and Church is optional, now you know?
