Get yourself a Sucrets tin (not the plastic ones, the hole is too big <g>),
Band Aid tin or Altoid tin & poke a very small small finishing nail size hole
in the lid (the Altoid tin won't need poking). Cut up some 100% natural
fibre--this is very important--cloth into squares to fit in the tin. Close the
lid & throw the thing in the fire. (I use my Coleman brand "camp fire" in the
yard at home.) When all the smokin' stops, or up to a minute or so
after--you'll have to fiddle w/ the time--pull it out & let it cool before
opening. That's important too, else the cloth could burst into flames & you'll
have to start over.
Well used cotton cloth works best, I think. I've found new, unwashed cloth
works lousy. If a flame comes out the little hole you've got some synthetic
cloth in your tin. Pull it out of the fire, scrape the melted mess out of the
inside (or burn it off) & start over.
