I know we all want to hear more and the wheels are turning and the green lights
are on!
I attended the NorthWest presentation this Fall.. and these general vision
"statements"
were presented, along with some others that have not been echoed in any later
report.
Rangernet only provides a sounding board, simular to the talk around camp...
It's clear we have the right man in a tough job, *but because the boys are
important
as well as our *spiritual desires for them, we should be vigilant as to the
direction we
are headed... even so...
We may not have a choice....
I'm concerned that the "whole boy" as well as task management will be down
played, however
I applaud the increased effectiveness of a "Planned Meeting" for the boys. A plan
will provide a "pace"
and a variety in features as well as a clear suggestion of *devotional "word"
-bible study each week.
This however indicates a LEADER problem, not a boy problem.
And it's the boys I am concerned about.. the boys we have -the boys we had...and
the boys we will reach!
I want a full meal the feeds the body the mind and the *spirit. ..and further
develops character and leadership
in life *untill the Lord returns...in glory!

*Frankly... some remain awaiting further "word"...and I'll trust my fellow
Rangers
to advance the cause as needed... some I will set aside when final decisions are
made.
*The Patrol system... key to leadership.
*A "Time Table" for advancement? What is the rush?
*The measure of personal achievement indicated by the achievement of the RR GMA.
and it's continued compareison to the BSA "Eagle" or the "Queens Medal"
This last group,Explorer Rangers- is billed as "Extream Sport" ect. Rock
Climb-White Water...
I need understanding in how I might impliment that *vision ... as it seems a
"promise"
that could easily fail. The focus is on the ages 8 to 13 with prepared lessons
ect. and
the GMA *Would this group meet at events only or monthly... and have a social
connection with the AG Youth group? How would a Ranger leader insure limited
liability to the church, or himself with such activities at the focus?
FCF could embrace that *Vision goal for Explorer Rangers...but has held back...
I'm also reading that on advancement "No More- No Less" has *discouraged boys?
(*No more-No Less is a way to communicate the requirement into do-able tasks for
the boy,
to make the achievement come alive with Honor- at a job well done, and preserve
integrity.)
So my intrest and concern continues<G>
*Love God! Love others! *prefere the boys!
