*Ok we got the "Cdr.Fred" report..<G> now what about this "new" draft
that
is going to rock the world and grip the hearts of the boys with passion
to achieve!
What's the impact on the boys?
Is there room in it for Boy Leadership and the Patrol?
Will "personal achievement" and initiative be rewarded?
I hear a lot about "Outdoor Adventure" and I'm interested in the
"Indoor adventure"
that happens in a boys heart.. will he be inspired and challenged, and
be made to
feel welcome in the new Outpost? Will new tools be employed to better
*reach
*teach and keep him for the Lord? Will he remember his time as a Ranger
fondly?
These are issues that touch my Rangers at OP354 NorthWest District...
I'm concerned
about the GMA boys.. as well as the first time visitor to our fine
Outpost..
Currently my greatest "source" for programic insiration is National
Training...
NTC had a good "model meeting" I was greeted by name and my patrol was
ready to give honor and to receive honor... for the hands-on work we
did.
Camp Commander at that training was Richard Marriot.. and he amended the
"role"
as needed to care for the "boys" under adverse weather conditions and
show true
Ranger *spirit.. That *spirit pervaded the training and went home with
me.. I was
"challenged" and that began my hunger to understand the Patrol system.
Today he continues, as National Commander to address the *mandate for
change
in our Ministry/Program. Cdr.Marriot made it clear that our input is
needed..
and many will find daunting tasks at hand as we work to amend the
current program
to fit the new challenge before us..
I pray for these changes... they will be the future, and that's where we
are headed!
