I have enjoyed reading about many "best experiences" in Royal Rangers. They are an
encouragement to me, and hopefully to many of you.
My own best experience was when I was in a nearby park with some Straight Arrows. We
had some play time, then sat down in a circle for a Bible lesson. As I asked the boys
if they had any questions about the Scripture I had just read, one boy raised his hand
and said "I never asked Jesus into my heart." I asked if he would like to, and he said
"yes." I asked if anyone else would like to, and another boy came forward. We prayed
right then and there, and those boys were saved. They are still growing in the Lord.
Or was it the time when a Straight Arrow sought me out during the altar call at VBS,
and wanted me to pray with him to receive Jesus?
Or was it the teaching and prayer time during the council fire on our last backpacking
trip?
Praise God!!!!
This week, we have some special "Jesus the Healer" meetings with Dr. Ed Dufresne and
his wife, Nancy. Last night, Brother Ed told of one time when he was a Royal Ranger
commander. He was teaching the boys about healing, laying on of hands, and such from
the Bible. One of the boys had no hip joint in one leg and had to walk with a crutch.
The boys laid hands on him, prayed, and with a loud "POP" sound, God created a new hip
joint for that boy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GLORY TO GOD!
Note that God is no respecter of persons. If He will show up at Commander Dufresne's
meeting when boys pray in faith, He will show up at yours. I'm looking forward to
tonight!
