I agree with Rick -- during the next two years we have a tremendous 
opportunity to reach boys for Christ -- why sit around waiting for the new 
program?

As far as training goes, the proposal that the national executive committee 
accepted (at least in principle) and that was presented at the NRRC stated 
that anyone with one of the current LMAs would be grandfathered -- even 
under the new LTC you would have your LMA. However, the proposal calls for 
a new LMA to be created for the new LTC, and if you want to wear the new 
one, go take a one-day update course on the new program (everyone should 
want to do this anyway). In no way are we trying to penalize anyone who 
goes through the current training -- big chunks of the current LTC will 
still be valid under the new program, just like a lot of what you have 
learned over the years as a Royal Rangers commander will still be useful 
and relevant.
