Just got back from National RR Council. WOW, My head was spinning but it was great. The enthusiasm level seemed fever pitch to me. There are SO many good things happening in Rangers, around the world. It is a GREAT time to be a Royal Ranger.

They shared "The Plan". It is soon to be on the National page as a powerpoint presentation. They will keep it updated there so we can keep abreast of the developments. Check the page once in awhile.

There were the natural concerns about 1) Cost, 2) GMA equivilency, 3) Training. Legitimate concerns but the National officers were all ears. Their minds were not closed as in some other organizations in the past.

The new cirriculum layout is wonderful. Imagine 12 years worth of material, 52 weeks a year for all 10 parts of the Ranger Meeting Plan. (Yes, I said 10, not 16, not 12, not 11 but 10).

Royal Ranger missionaries, Doug Marsh, Robert Jimenez and Mark Broberg shared what God is doing in Costa Rica, Arizona and Russia. again, WOW. Russia needs 600 "Royal Hunters" groups TODAY. Do you speak Russian?

The National Honorbound DIrector and the new National Kids Church Director were both there to share their support and love for Rangers.

National Rendezvous 2000, Guest speaker - Thomas Trask - General Superintendent. Every district is to bring FCF stuff to shower upon him. (The rifle is already donated).

Camporama 2002 plans, wait till you see the entertainment/activity list! And we as commanders will no longer have to man the concession booths! And no more draining the portapottys during lunch hour, and three dining facilities scattered across the campground instead of one. This is good stuff. Bass Pro, Coleman and Branson theater shows will be there.

No more National Training Events on Holiday weekends including Mothers and Fathers Day per Rick Dostal, National Training Coordinator.

Penecostal Celebration 2000  August 7-10, Royal Ranger Leaders and boys in uniform as ushers.

A visible Royal Ranger presence is to be at some major concert events this year across the country.

We even had exciting music with the "Sonny Green" Quartet:)
