OK, now I gotta say something.  Deterrence and humanity have nothing to do with
the death penalty.  God forgives the sin, yes.  But God does not and will not
erase the consequences of sin.  Whether that consequence is a murdered victim
or the death penalty for a murderer is not the issue.  When Jesus told us to
render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's, that also meant civil and criminal
law.  God forgiving your sin and cleansing you is one thing.  The State will
not and should not forgive in the same manner...  Or we have no civilization
and no rule...

last note:  I do not want to hear about a murderer's upbringing or background.
That is just so much hogwash.  It's another liberal escape from consequences.
I do not believe there is a single thinking soul alive that does not realize
that murder is wrong. period.
