I agree.. *However- In terms of Political parties, the "Labor Party" is closer to the American version of "Yellowdog Liberal Democrat" and the Liberal party reresents vewis more akin to mainstream thinking right? *Also.. Auzzies may feel somewhat benevolent to those who have been made "redundent" or reconize the positive effects of a social inclusive health care system, right.. In my city.. we have people- Humans who live under the bridges and in holes dug in the dirt. *Some of these people have families with children! Many are mentaly impared, or addicted to drugs ect. and frankly cast aside, as *I drive over them in my 1990 re-cycled US Forest service truck! *I as a member of the greater American "Christian Culture" feel this is a social problem and not the responsibility of my church or friends... It seems more the role of "Government" yet our votes will be tword the party that is less concerned about "social issues" as they represent the secular humanist side of the debate. > > > But American "Christian values" are skewed... *We believe in a prosperity > > gospel and feel "Conservative values" are right... and "Liberal thinking" > > is perverse! . > We also preach about prosperity, ther is nothing wrong with being propserious as long > as realise who made you this way in the first place. And he did it for a reason, so >you > can help spread the Gospel. Conservative values are good because they hold on to > want is good, liberal thinking leads to destruction. I may or maynot agree to that... I have that right. *But my understanding and application of what I might do in a situation like becomeing homeless is presumptive of what these "Homeless people in fact do" They seem NOT to be able to resource their way out of defilement, and my society condems them for not riseing to their feet by their "bootstraps"... In another strange twist- We have many Russian and Vietnamese in our community. Intigrateing them into our Christian culture- "Like I see on TBN or CBN with Pat Robertson isn't priority one" The Prosperity is extended into a cultureal smugness... not so very different than the "world" outside the church... In our former church the parking lot was full of Mercades and Lexis cars and the carpet was clean and deep purple and the air chilled as the Pastor lectured with a decending powerpoit screen behind his head... *They don't do Rangers anymore.... it didn't fit into the "master plan" *So we went doen the road to another Outpost.. that church don't have a building but meets in a school, and is converting a Government auto distribution building with service baus into a church.. *They have the "vision for Royal Rangers" *So of course you may feel I stemped on your toes or you may agree- But that don't matter as the real deal is what we do about what ever the Lord gives us as resources... -=A=- > > > There's a storm coming, our Storm. > PROCLAIMING GOD'S LOVE TO A DYING WORLD > Say to the captives, 'come out,' and those in darkness, 'Be free!' > Isaiah 49:9 > Love in Jesus > Adrian Bonham aka Morning Light, The Larrikin > > I looked to the heavens to where God dwells > I looked into my life to see he lives there as well. > > Outpost 49 > Hawkesbury Royal Rangers > Windsor, N.S.W. > Australia > F.C.F. 94 > http://www.summit.net.au/~founder1/ > _______ > To unsubscribe, send "unsubscribe rangernet" to [EMAIL PROTECTED] > "Eat the hay & spit out the sticks! - A#1's mule" RTKB&G4JC! > http://rangernet.org Autoresponder: [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- ࡱ
