The State does does indeed forgive, and has the right to expunge the
record... and moderate the punishment to
the deed. *But these "Holy men" demand manditory punishment, and run to
join the special intrest's that have stolen our abilities to have a free handed
Congress acting for the will of *ALL the people!
In truth.. what we desire is *Christian Control...
That's a considerable leap, and one I'm not sure I agree with. Being a
Christian should provide a better moral compass for those in control.

Why should we be reasonable or merciful about murder?

What about Eagle Scout "Eric Rudolf" who has escaped capture
for bombing an Atlanta Abrotion clinic and the Olympics? Do
you want to hear what his background and upbringing led him
to in an act of political terrorisum?

Eric Rudolf seemed to judge the killing of innocent life as moral permission
to explode a bomb to stop that clinic.. In this extream form violence, he
exercised civil disobedience, even criminal assult and attempted murder
in justifying his beliefs about "Pro-Life"
Ah, but he still knew it was wrong! He simply justified himself by declaring
that his was a lesser evil. Evil done in defense of perceived wrongs is still
evil...
