I'm not sure I understand... is it that the church "subdued"
it's affiliation?

*I agree with the four RED points, as that is my heritage, and
agree with your thinking.. *But as said, without active guidelines
from the church, and oversight... We *could have taught a
para-military secular *program and never have been questioned.

*Lot's of RR outpost's never get around to teaching much
doctrine... because you can only drive as fast as the boys
will allow with their age-mental-social-attitude sometimes
acting as a brake<G> *If you lack a planed meeting, or
have disruptive boys, fights, anger issues ect. and fall back
to a Adult led form of dominate leadership.. *how is that
condusive to religious instruction and deep doctrinal discussion?

*In our fab Outpost.. 8 men left when we (Cdr.Jen and I)
arrived.. and they shut down Rangers except for our group!
In time... We "grew back" but never with any member of the
church or former Ranger leader.. *ALL LEADERSHIP was recruted
from outside our church, with incomming transfers from
other outposts<G>
For several years... We were expected to fail, and no one
knew why we did not<G> *We in the OP207 leadership team
had formed a Leader *Patrol! We used our own resources and
inginueity..
After that, any person desiring to be a Royal

*Right..
I'm aware of that thinking...
I decided it was a moral issue of an individuals heart, and
when a family left for another fellowship I didn't dismiss
the Lt.Cdr.Dad, but invited him to stay as long as the "Lord"
wanted...

*Frankly, I was hauled into a meeting and criticized for
useing RR LTC as a guideline to *challenge the pastoral
authority of the Childrens "pastor"... He wanted us to
be an extention of his "superchurch" and not a real RR
Outpost. His idea was to shut down Trailblazers and send
them to youth. His idea was "No camping"...
A very tough and unique situation that still brings gas to
my belly... Burrrrrp!
