The love blanket is something different than what I perceived Spirit is
proposing. Sounds like he is proposing a pool of outfits and accouterments
that can be "loaned" out to someone who does not have an item (or anything
at all) until they can obtain or make the item. After they acquire an item
on their own, they would then return the "borrowed" item to the "Loaner
Locker" to be used by someone else in the group that does not have an item.
This would work in much the same manner as a wardrobe locker for costumes
used in church plays.
This is a much different concept than the love blanket where the item given
to the individual is his to keep.

In the George Washington Chapter (Penn-Del District). we call it a "love
blanket." It is customary to give a gift to the one you are sponsoring.
Typically, if it is a young buck, you give them something that can be part
of their outfit - shirt, hawk, etc.
