Noel a Question,
How do you determine the top
Greenhorn(s)?
And, is this not what the love blanket is for. At
spring outing we give to the love blanket articles that we make or have extra
of. The Greenhorns get to pick first based on their scores at the various
events. Those that do not score are next to pick. Then all the Youngbucks and
Old Timers who had top scores get to pick.
This seems to have worked very well in the past.
Each Greenhorn comes away with something they pick from the blanket. Are you
asking for the Old Timers to give additional money for a top prize? What is to
say that the receiptents will use the money on FCF stuff (not that we cannot
help those in need, that's a different story).
Mentor a Greenhorn by teaching him a trade. For if
you give a boy a fish he will eat for a meal, but if you teach a boy to fish he
will eat for a lifetime. Make a Greenhorn something from your trade
:-)
Just my thoughts on the matter,
Blessings,
Two Forks
