Good idea Spirit Rider.
Now how brown cow...oops (off track ;-)
Since we do not place great emphasis on whether someone is in outfit or not,
and we meet for the primary purpose of fellowship, my question is: what
for???
I understand why a Rev War outfit would want it's members in uniform
(especially since it cost's a heap o' money to get set up), but why worry
about the FCF'ers and whether they are in an outfit or not. Besides, that
means it now becomes someone's responsibility to clean and repair this gear
after each event. Are you volunteering???
My idea is to help the boys who come in by parting with something we
treasure, not our left over's. Teach them a skill or trade. Make them
something from our skill or trade. Add some good stuff to the love or prize
blanket.
This is called mentoring and it will go a long way in the development of a
boy or leader...much more so then providing an outfit for an event out of
the commons box.
Just my thoughts on the matter.
