Only thing about that was, you had to supply your own Tabasco... Navy
supplied "Crystal brand Hot Sauce"... Tomato water pretty much...
hehe.
There are some who think of Tabasco this way!!! I prefer real heat - serano,
habenero, etc!!! My father-in-law and I make a picante style sauce with
those peppers - we have to wear rubber gloves so it doesn't burn our hands!!!
He once bought a bottle of habenero oil - it came with a disclaimer and a
release that he had to sign waiving them from any legal action! This stuff
was hot - but soooo good!!!! It recommended 1 drop for a pot of beans - I
had 3 drops for a bowl - set me on fire but I ate every bite!
The hottest I ever had was in Washington, DC in a Thai restaurant! They had
signs on the wall that said to warn the waiter if you did NOT want your food
hot. I asked how hot they could make it and the waiter replied "How hot do
you want it?" Foolishly I said "As hot as you can get it!" I cried,
slobbered, sweated, and my nose ran for hours but I ate every bite!
Absolutely incredible food - great flavor - wonderful heat! I can't wait to
go back!
Some like it hot....
Michael
