actually confirmed their subscriptions rather than using an opt-out model
for any address which is potentially subscribed without the owner's
permission. I would think than an organization like MoveOn (to which I'm a
member FWIW) would make that effort to ensure that their subscriptions
couldn't be abused in this manner. Closed-loop subscription confirmations
are trivial to do properly and have been a BCP with mailing lists for many years.
