Thank you for the clarification. However I may add the extensions as well 
because we still have machines on our network that open the application 
faster than others.

No.

That was just an example for all possible folders
and extensions where the executables could be
in one folder, and the applications, and DLLs could be in different 
folder(s).

However, if everything is in one folder, such as
compiled applications and projects as in your
case, excluding the folder should take care of
all files underneath that folder.
