Not sure I catch your meaning here. We didn't delete,
install, or reinstall any printers. We just noticed that
even in NotePad.exe, it will not print to the local printer,
only to the networked printer. RBase will not 'type' a file
to the local printer, but will perfectly print reports.
Just by chance.. you said that this was first being attempted
to be done on the ??same printer?? that was on a network.
If so then could the driver have not gotten uninstalled (when
it was first setup to the network) and the new driver for it
that should have it setup to the local LPT1 gotten installed
and it have some wires crossed somewhere?

I'm not sure if the Okidata (networked) or the laserjet (local)
is the default. Doing a Prnsetup before the printing does not
help. Even in NotePad, she goes into Printer Setup, chooses the
local printer, and it won't print.
