I tried to print bar coded tickets with OKI ML 320 dot matrix printer and the scanner did not read the bar code correctly. The same bar coded tickets printed with a laser printer scanned very well.

We are using an OKI ML320Turbo-D dot matrix printer for 4" bar codes out of Rbase 6.5++ (version 1.866) - it works flawlessly.

Subject: [RBASE-L] - FW: Label Printing with Zebra LP2844

Have just purchased a Zebra label printer and am having difficulty printing standard text labels (not bar codes)

 from Rbase 6.5++ (version 1.866)

I have set the printer to "Line Mode"

PRNSETUP 'Zebra LP2844'

OUT PRINTER

LBLPRINT test              (test being a form that displays ok on the screen)

OUT SCREEN

The label prints ok but with each label I get the following

JF

q832

q832

q036

0

followed by the correct label text

Is there any simple way of suppressing these Ascii (?) Characters?

Is there another 2" to 4" label printer that I should be looking at that is more compatible with RBase?

Many Thanks
