Thanks for the advice.... Good to now it will work eventually although I am still.not having much luck     Are you using the Zebra Driver?  What settings are beng used ?     No matter what I print ,label,text file, show var etc I get this string of characters prior to each printing...almost like a form feed   The operating system is Windows XP Pro   I have re-installed the driver from the Zebra set up CD   Using [Printers]  [Properties] [Advanced] [Print Processor] I have a choice of :                                                                           Raw                                                                         Raw [FF auto]                                                                         Raw [FF appended]                                                                         NT EMF 1003  (or 06 or 07 or 08)                                                                         Text   The default from the driver re install seems to be Text which I have tried plus  all 3 "Raw" options and one NT.........the end result remains unchanged.                                                                                              John Dew -----Original Message----- From: Kenny Camp [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: June 7, 2004 1:14 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [RBASE-L] - Re: FW: Label Printing with Zebra LP2844   We use three Zebra LP2844s, each printing hundreds of labels a day with no problems at all.  Low cost labels and easy to feed and tear.  Works with all versions of RBase, DOS and Windows.  All three are sharable network printers.   The only setup problem I remember was setting the driver to the correct paper. 2" by 4".   Try printing a small text file from DOS (no RBase involved) and see if you get the same problem.   Kenny Camp IT Manager Electro Enterprises Oklahoma City, OK     ----- Original Message ----- From: John Dew To: RBASE-L Mailing List Sent: Monday, June 07, 2004 1:18 PM Subject: [RBASE-L] - FW: Label Printing with Zebra LP2844   Have just purchased a Zebra label printer and am having difficulty printing standard text labels (not bar codes)  from Rbase 6.5++ (version 1.866)     I have set the printer to "Line Mode"     PRNSETUP 'Zebra LP2844' OUT PRINTER LBLPRINT test              (test being a form that displays ok on the screen) OUT SCREEN   The label prints ok but with each label I get the following   JF q832 q832 q036 0   followed by the correct label text   Is there any simple way of suppressing these Ascii (?)
