<< Are you certain this account has administrator access? I ask because when I initially set up my Vista machine, I just assumed the initial account would be administrator. It was not. It took some time to stumble across a method for getting an actual administrator account established.
You could also try: - open Explorer - find RBG76.EXE - right click - click "run as administrator" ... to see if it will "take." >> On the one hand I'm quite sure that it's an Administrator account -- it tells me so in the User Accounts screen and when I try to change the account type it shows Administrator instead of Standard. On the other hand, when I right click and use Run As Administrator I'm able to enter my license and R:Base is able to correctly store and remember it when I start the program again. So I guess being an "Administrator" account in Vista means only that you have access to Run As Administrator, not that programs generally run that way (a good thing, if you ask me, but not obvious to users of previous versions). I _still_ get no response to the Get Activation Key button, but now at least I can email RBTI for the keys. -- Larry
