Here's where my mileage varies - the UAC was very much in my way, so it is
now disabled.

Now, if only I could disable that annoying message that comes up every time
I log on telling me that UAC is disabled ... !

A tip:  Click Start then Run and type "msconfig" ...

I can see an option to do this on my User Accounts screen, but I'm not ready
to give up on UAC yet -- so far it really hasn't gotten in my way and I like
the extra level of security.
