Ben and Jan

Thanks for your replies.

Ben, can you elaborate on your statement that ?if they are using XP-Pro thereis
little reason to switch to Win-7 in terms of use with their upgraded
server?.Please say some more so I can talkintelligently with them about this.

Thanks
David

Hi David,

I played with this awhile back, but my recollection is fuzzy.

I *think* Win7-32 bit was OK, 64 bit not so much.

If they are using XP-Pro there is little reason to switch to Win-7 in terms of
use with their upgraded server. If they are using one of the Home versions,
then they will need to upgrade to a Pro Something to join a server domain, if
that is their intention.

Ben

Friends

I have a client who is still (!) running 6.5++ on a network under Windows
XP.I?m rewriting the code to upgrade them but it won?t be installed until
July. They are considering upgrading their server and switching to Windows
7.Does anyone have experience in the distant past (or present) running 6.5++
under Windows 7 and can you comment on its reliability and stability? They would
like to do the upgrade BEFORE the R:Base upgrade, but are willing to wait if
there are reported issues running 6.5++ under Windows 7.
