David On top of what Ben is going to tell you later I might telo a few of my experianses
1. You cant bay a now PC with XP, soner or later you most likely will need to accept Win 7 (even if I personally struggle) 2. Apparently Microsoft has recognized the struggle not only from me. They have a download for something like Virtual pc in XP mode for win7 pro 3. In my case I believe That download has provided a reasonable workaround for running XP compatible programs under Win 7 4. I *think* Win7-32 bit was OK, 64 bit not so much. If they are using XP-Pro there is little reason to switch to Win-7 in terms of use with their upgraded server. If they are using one of the Home versions, then they will need to upgrade to a Pro Something to join a server domain, if that is their intention.
