This is definitely a question for RBTI...
I asked Microrim for many years to C/S the product. They even announced it
a couple of times in the early-mid 90's, yet nothing ever came of it. This
was despite the fact that there were many internal Microrim claims at the
time, that the job was not huge as a large chunk of the source code already
existed in the (now very dead) Vanguard product. (mmmm - perhaps there was
much more work in the job than Microrim 1st thought). In my oppinion, this
is still one of the biggest enhancement issues that needs to be addressed.
Since all (previous) R:BASE products came from the same code base (and I
would assume this is still the case), If R:BASE for Linux were to become a
C/S product, then the Win and DOS products would be likely to become C/S by
nature.
Perhaps Razzak could shed some more light for us all on the C/S issue.
