I see. Now read my initial, very polite email carefully. It was a
simple request. I got a rude response. It's not clear to me why my not
having a new version, still in beta, should mean that the version I do
have shouldn't work as the documentation says it will. Rbase has always
been responsive, which is why it is so distressing to get the snide
reply from you.
See below;

Paula,
That is the suggested solution for 7.1.
We'll certainly look into the request for latest R:BASE 7.5/8.0.
---------
Your initial response was that the suggested solution in 7.1 to a
command that didn't work was the fake printer workaround. That's not
what the documentation says.
Glad to hear you'll look into it for the new versions of the software
that I (and my client) don't have. As I said, I'll let my client know
that if he wants to pay for an upgraded version of the software that
something that should work in the version he's bought 14 licenses for
may work then. I'll even tell him that you didn't think I'd asked
sweetly enough.
After having him on Rbase for many years while everyone else around him
has been telling him that he should be using ACCESS I'm sure that'll go
over great.

FYI, Larry Wilson is using the latest and greatest R:BASE 7.5 for
Windows and for the record, he didn't call his "minor" inconvenience a
"bug". Read his reply on this list very carefully. His kind way of
mentioning his minor inconvenience prompted me to at least help him and
look into it.
Yes, we work very hard and do anything we can, and take great pride in
our work and the product. No one can deny that.
"My" lack of the product knowledge and experience should "never" be
constituted as a bug in "any" product.
Very Best R:egards,
Razzak.
