Ach, 57", is that all? I thought you climbed Pike's Peak in a 48 X 19 like Coppi is reported to have done. (Well, Coppi didn't climb Pike's Peak, but you know what I mean.)

Speaking of low rpm torquing: This morning on the way to and from church, I had to grunt through 1/3 mile of freshly ground up dirt where the bulldozers had scattered the excavations from an acequia repair. 3" sand with Caterpillar track indentations, tho' fortunately somewhat consolidated with 16 hours worth of light rain a few days ago. It made me realize why people bother with multiple gears (I confess I got down to 44" and only pride kept me from bailing into the 28; but that was only 1/3 mile or so. I'm old.
