To provide another perspective on the Tubus clamps, I bought a set to avoid using P-clamps and I found them to be surprisingly difficult to install, quite clunky looking, relatively expensive (probbably heavy too for those that worry about such things - I do not) and with the added concern of possibly tightening them down so much as to crush the fork blades. Ultimately, that bike was stolen so I never had enough after installation experience with them to evaluate their long term effectiveness but I do know, I would not go that route again.
