I've cobbled additional coverage to augment the abbreviated "moto style"
mtb fenders: cut sections of old PB fenders and zip tied to back of seat
tube and to bottom of dt from about 2/3 of the way up to just below bb. The
overall setup was hardly as good as full fender coverage, but certainly
better than shortie fenders front and rear only.

It was only after I posted the Cleland photo that I noticed the slush/mud
guard attached inboard of the right chainstay just aft of the bb; this to
keep tire crud from gumming up the fd. Still, as Patrick says, even 20% of
spray getting past your fender system will collect on the bike, as I
discovered yesterday.
