Thanks for the heads up on bike traffick--duly noted. I regularly battle
greater Boston bike congestion (especially in the fair weather months) but
I still smile when I see streams of cyclists out and about. Beats folks
hopping into a car any day. I still nurse the hope that events like this
will clue in just even 1% the participants to get on their bikes more often.

My father law in Staten island did this ride in the 90s and wanted us all
to do out and do this together one day so we registered in early 2019 and
here we are a few days away!

We are prepped for weather this weekend with rain capes, wool socks,
Blundies boots and good sturdy tires--which is to say, that's how we ride
normally in the spring in New England.

Bless you (llambo) for thinking we are cool parents--trying our bestest to
be always slightly crazier than the kids in terms of taking on new
things--gotta keep the pre-teens guessing!
My 8 yo son is very distraught at being left out this year and having to
sit it out with his grandparents...but I told him he'll get to do the
Bike-Not-Bombs bike-a-thon this June for 12 miles. He doesn't quite
understand distances or time that much -- such are the blessings of
childhood.

Thursday cheers ('cause it's almost Friday)
