(beautiful bike!)
I had a hate/hate relationship with the Tektro CR720s until I bought
the Yokozuna pads from Rivendell. Now they stop well, don't shudder,
and I just don't think about them. I put it off because I got the
wrong ones (the mountain pads) the first time, and didn't want to pay
as much for shipping as for the pads. I don't buy that much (my garage
is full of STUFF), and my wife gets me most of my Riv kit for
presents. So, Xmas stocking, pad replacement, happy 2012 so far.
I just checked, and I did call out the Yokozunas specifically in my
Spring Inventory of the Quickbeam:

I wanted to make sure, since they did make a big difference. Still
bugs me that it takes a whole separate product from a whole separate
company to make an acceptable brake, but I guess that's the upside of
being "in the know."

If you already have the red pads, just ignore everything I just
said...
