I think that a mobile field base "MFB" would be an interesting idea, especially if it were automated. Although it would take a lot of know-how to create the autopilot system. Perhaps there is a way to make the SV automatically roll toward the tank (linked by redio signal, IR, or something) when commanded. The only issue would be the SV running into obstacles or rough terrain. Maybe some external sensors could take care of that.
