Ryan,
There is nothing wrong with doing it your way. That's what we
did for years. But , making a really nice wooden part , then making a
mold and being able to make 40 identical pieces is great. I used
Frank's Tiger mold for the inner cleats on my Comet. They had the
correct width between the guides and all I had to do was shorten the
width.
On the PZ II's, Paul and I cast both the outer an inner tracks.
That's 68 inner and outer per each tank. So Chris, I'd have to say
something went wrong when you made yours, since we pulled over 150
pieces from the same molds.
