More than likely the reason is goes faster in one direction than the other is because the motors have the timing set faster in one direction than the other. You have one rotated so one is actually running forward all the time and the other is running backward. The EV Warrior motors were either CW timed or CCW timed. Those you could open up and actually set them to a neutral timing so they ran the same speed in both directions. When you do a neutral turn in the grass, in theory one motor is running forward and the other is reversing. In your case one of the motors is already reversed so the reverse of that is forward. In other words, turning one direction both motors are timed higher running forward and in the other direction, both motors are timed lower running backwards hence the slower speed. Make sense? :)
