I would LOVE to test some FOA combat products in late September. By that time, I'm hoping to have the Panther, Tiger and Jagdpanther figured out! But those tanks are "improvements" of static model into the RC, then "Combat" design. As our initial tests show, there are weaknesses in the plastic tracks and wheels to withstand the rough environment. I'm sure it would be very frustrating for one of you to lose a track in the middle of a battle.
But we are also working on our "Modern Combat Vehicle" announced for this summer. We are almost done in the design of the combat tracks/wheels/sprocket system. It will use the MPSS3 (3rd generation MPSS) suspension system, TTMS Motorization, TTRS Rotation system and the announced gun elevation/trigger system. We are getting the hull cut next week! That tank might be on the East Coast around that time... and then it would be nice to test it in your combat environment. Not making any promise, but it is a definite possibility! Frank, thanks for the pointer on Joystick tuning. We will do that today and test it.. and video it. I want to look at over-heating of the Talon ESC or motors today as well, using the model for a full hour at speed in the dirt field across the business. Fans are cheap and most likely needed on those ESCs. I would be interested to know what type of "standard tests" you would do when you bring a tank to combat readiness?
