When there is a noticeable speed difference while spinning right or
left, it could be due to the joystick/mixer settings. Specifically, if
the "center" position of the left-right joystick is slightly to one
side, then the mixer will see the joystick travel more one way then the
other. With an exponential response setting, a small variation near the
travel end-point results in a larger speed variation.
When using the Talon SR, this can be easily confirmed by watching the
LEDs on the speed controls. At 100% throttle, the LED should stay lit
without flashing. So, if the LEDs stay lit when turning in one
direction, but flash rapidly when turning in the other direction you
know that the joystick center is slightly off. Adjust the center (and
deadband if necessary) to balance everything.

I suspect with the FOA Panther, there's probably binding on one side
that is causing the slower spin in one direction.
