I asked Mike the exact questions and this is his answer: "The FET's are rated at 100 amps continuous at 150 degrees C. The solder will melt before the FET fails. The capacitor inside the Talon will fail long before the FET's will"
I'm not sure where this discussion is leading? I can only talk with my experience in the use of the Talon. I lost a Sabertooth dual controller last year.
