I had a similar problem with the same type system. When the generator would be 
called for it would turn on and the XW would reject it.  This is also a Y2K 
system.  It would work fine if the generator was started manually. When I put a 
power quality meter on the generator output I got really wild freq. readings. 
This LP generator has 
7000 hours on it and the customer bought it on-line from who knows where.
