Jason, I had a similar problem with an XW 6048 but the overcharge happened on AC1 input. One xantrex tech told me the battery bank was too small. I had 8 L16's 6 v 360 ah. I reset to factory defaults and asked them many times why the voltage raced up to 64v when set at correct absorption voltage. After a year, a blown battery and finally a full replacement of the battery bank (now maximum storage) and a full day going thru every set point after setting to factory defaults, I found the default setting for absorption was for 6 hours! After setting that to zero, things settled down and I could actually tweak the max current settings to stabilize the system. Even with the new batteries it was still a very touchy adjustment to keep everything under control. My takeaway, stick with Outback.
