The criticisms of RB200x are similar to those that were made of MacOS X when it
first arrived.
Consider that Apple bought NeXT in 1996, and MacOS X wasn't really a mature OS
until 2003 (10.3).
It was slow and kludgy at first. Things didn't feel right, features weren't
implemented fully. But
7 years later it was actually usable. It was a painful transition but it had to
be made.

It's the same thing with RB2006. It's a major re-write. There's a lot of work
that has to be done
in 1) rewriting the entire framework and 2) keeping the new framework
compatible with old code.

It will be painful as they transition over. But once they've got the groundwork
laid out we will
see things slowly improve until one day we will wonder how we ever lived
without the pre-2000
series REALbasic.

Sooner is nicer than later. But as they transition, we get to help them decide
where to focus
their energies. The feedback system gives us a great way to tell RS what we
think about new
features, and which bugs we think they should focus on first.
