No, what's bad is assuming that everybody sees the same problem you
see. As others (who also don't work at RS) have also pointed out,
the compile speed is just fine for some people. Apparently it's
not fine for some. Maybe it has to do with what plugins you use;
maybe it's something particular to your code; maybe it has to do
with what other apps you have installed... I don't know what
causes it, and the folks at RS probably don't either, or they would
have fixed it already.
But assuming that everybody sees it, and RS is just being evil or
malevolent for not fixing a terrible problem that everybody is
having, is just silly and unhelpful.
Best,
- Joe
First off, why should compile speed be affected by plugins ? Unless
there is something seriously wrong with REALbasic ? Second off then I
experience the same slowness with or without plugins. This obsession
to blame things on plugins every time something is not good is
getting a little old here.
I think the reasons why some people and some not are reporting are
because of the following:
a) Different tolerance level that people have. b) Not all people have
huge projects c) Some people started off with REALbasic in version
2005 and don't have 5.5 to compare to.
