I doubt that RS has the resource to simply open 6 offices in Europe simultaneously; they have to start someplace.

True

While folks were happy with Nova, I've read years of complaints from European buyers. My guess is the French language version and an official French RS office is just the start of something that everyone in Europe will be very happy about in the future.

Also true. While Guy has been good here on the NUG, I got appalling support from them. I originally bought Rb in Australia, and had to go through Texas, but on returning to the UK, Nova didn't even have prices on the web site, so RS lost at least one upgrade because I couldn't pay for it. Now we have a similar situation: the European web site is solely in French, but you can't pay in anything other than $, which means for those on other currencies (and only 11 out of 25 EU nations has the euro and many others are not in the EU) there's no way to pay, and that surely wouldn't have been difficult to set up. I mean, RS didn't decide on France yesterday.

And what happens to all the other distributors?

Just my $0.02, convert to your local currency...

Ah if we could ;-)
