Of course not; I think you need to read more carefully.  If your apps are 
behaving differently from any other app on your machine, I suspect it's because 
you have failed to give your default file name an extension, or have given it 
one when you didn't want to -- as pointed out by my original message above.

But every time I try to help you, you simply argue with me, often in a
