My 2 pennieth worth... ( its all been said before )
1) It allows RS developers to see their own bugs sooner. 2) Since coding in RB is much more productive than using C++ this allows us to get new versions of RB quicker. ( anyone want to debate this ? ) 3) Since RB generates much less "error prone" software ( thanks to garbage collection and lack of the dreaded poinnters etc etc ) - in the LONG TERM we get much more reliable RB. 4) Since RS will be using RB as their main development tool it will "battle harden" RB and make it a much more "grown up" tool, with more versatility.
