Just wondering
You might want to review this list's archives for previous
discussions concerning the ASCII standard. In short, ASCII only
"defines" values from 0 to 127. Values from 128 to 255, incorrectly
called extended ASCII or high ASCII are simply "undefined" and will
vary by platform as is evident from the "check mark" discussion.
There's no harm in using values from 128 to 255, just know that as
the platform and font changes, so will the character produced by
those values.
