Del is for the smaller forward-delete key. The newer Apple
keyboards are a bit confusing on this aspect, because the key
traditionally labeled as "backspace" is also labeled as Delete.
If you use "Bksp" as the shortcut, it should work.
How newer newer Apple keyboards are ? My PowerBook date from August
2004.
AND:
I wrote that Command-Delete does nothing _AND_ fn-Command-Delete
works. I talk about the key just above the Return key (on the
right of the '-/_' key)
There's a difference between Delete and Backspace.
Delete is a key which only appears on "large" keyboards. It deletes
the character "after" the insert point. It is often labelled as "Del"
on the key.
Backspace is a key which appear on any keyboard. It deletes the
character "before" the insert point. It is labelled with an arrow
pointing to the left.
Now, as I also have a PowerBook, I can tell you that:
1: the key above the "Return" key is backspace.
2: to simulate a "Delete" key, you have to hit fn-Backspace.
3: The shortcut you are talking about is "Delete", not "Backspace",
therefore, it's logical to use the fn key._______________________________________________
