A while ago I wrote a free, open-source module that can save CMYK TIFF
files. It also allows you to draw CMYK raster pictures using RB's
built-in drawing tools. It is admittedly a kludge and can be slow, but
it does at least get the job done. You can download it here:

Built in support for CMYK drawing and output has been on my list of
requests for a long time. There is an open feature request that you can
sign on to, so if this is important as a means to help in science
